Meka is a Blue Heeler. I inherited her from my nephew who had PTSD and died suddenly. I planned on keeping her and imported Meka from South Carolina to California. We have 2 poodles, a miniature and a toy, a cat. After spending about 2 months with Meka, having a behaviorist come in for consult, I think Meka and my dogs and cat would be happier if Meka lived with a family without another dog or cat. She is trained, likes to play ball, learns really fast, attaches to me, but loves all the family members (18, 21, 64, and me). She is beautiful and on a diet to lose 8 more pounds. Of course, I want the best for her. facebook me and see Meka. ... (Read More) I will upload pics tonight at home. (Less)

Australian Cattle Dog    Age: Adult

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

My Dad passed away recently, leaving behind his beloved, well trained Cattledog. Mollie is extremely well-trained. Very loyal, playful, affectionate, she would make a lovely pet for someone. Mollie loves to play catch! It's pretty much her favorite thing in life. She doesn't need a lead to walk with you, but she is perfectly fine with one on too. She gets along great with my 3 cats, and I've seen her play with small dogs. She definitely has an 'Alpha' personality and may not be compatible with other dogs with the same Alpha tendencies. I promised my Dad I would find a good home for her. Please contact me if you are interested. We are in ... (Read More)the San Diego area. (Less)

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

W have a beautiful dog, who has been in our lives for 5 years. Having recently lost our dog of 15.5 years, we adopted Cali from the SPCA as she charmed us with her exuberance and interaction. And she was beautiful - a cross between a cattle dog and a corgi, long legs, alert eyes and ears, bushy tail and a spotted red and white coat. She made friends with the neighbor dogs - there is even a video on youtube of her playing tether ball with her friend Poppy. She had a yard to play in, a 'puppy empowerment portal' (doggie door) to get there, trails to hike nearby and clean streets to walk on leash. We have divorced - very amicably - and ... (Read More)have just sold our house and will be moving out in May. We had a friend who had just lost his dog and he graciously took Cali in while we prepped the house. And he fell in love with her. But he lives in the city - in a not so clean section of Oakland. Now, when Cali walks, she is fixated on finding scraps of food on the route. Nearby parks are littered with chicken bones, so rather than playing, she spends her time hunting bones. His house has a studio downstairs where people often come to play music. Her protective nature gets the better of her and she has to spend a lot of time upstairs, cut off from the action downstairs. My ex and I will also be moving to the city. The three of us have done a lot of soul searching and have come to the conclusion that we cannot keep Cali. It is simply not fair to her. She deserves to be in an area where she can run and play and not be distracted by junk on the sidewalk or in the park grass. She is too smart and energetic to be kept cooped up. Cali's good traits: She is beautiful. Folks always say she looks like a fox. She is loyal. She loves the people she knows and follows us all around. She is good on trails and doesn't run off. She is good with other dogs at the beach, on trails, at doggy day care when she goes. She is SMART! One can actually see the wheels turn in her head. She learns tricks in about 30 minutes. She had an opportunity to try out an agility course and mastered 3 activities in an hour! The trainer was impressed. She is active. She loves hiking, the beach, playing ball, and playing tetherball. She LOVES being chased with a toy in her mouth, by dogs or by people. She is protective of her peeps and her territory (the house, yard and car). She is incredibly exuberant when you come home and loves to lick you. No dog is perfect and Cali is no exception. Her protective nature can get the best of her. Once she becomes used to a place (3-6 months), she believes it is her job to protect it from visitors and other dogs. Once she becomes used to someone - usually because they work with her by feeding her and walking her - they are welcomed into the pack. A home with constant coming and going of people for rehearsal is not for her. She gets along well with other dogs on neutral territory and on their turf. She doesn't like them inside her home, although she has friends she doesn't mind hanging with in her yard. She is SUPER SMART! She learns things quickly. With that smartness comes a bit of wllfulness and mischievousness - but that happens when she is bored. When she is bored, she plays games to alleviate that boredom - such as learning how to open trash cans and spilling the contents on the kitchen floor. Or opening the tall cabinet and removing key food items: loaves of bread, a bag of flour, a box of rice. Sometimes she eats these, other times, she just moves them to other areas so that you know she was there. Cali needs a real job. She needs space to be active. She needs to be mentally challenged. She wants nothing more than to please and can be such a very loving dog. She needs an assertive pack, as she is most at ease when there is structure. We are looking for the right person or persons and the right environment for her (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-05-18-00143Taz (male)

Australian Cattle Dog    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Im hoping I can find someone who is looking for a good dog. I have 2 Queensland Heelers and took in another male a little while back. Everything was fine at first with all of my dogs and then my male started acting aggressive towards the newer male (Taz). It wasn't too bad at first but he has now ran him out of the house and attacks him whenever he is near us. We have to fight him to get him off and I feel so bad for my Taz. We have built hiding places for him to get away and I have tried everything to stop it, but nothing seems to work. I'm not sure what else to do and I cannot allow him to do this. I would like to find Taz (the one ... (Read More)being attacked) a good home even though it breaks my heart. We took Taz in from someone who did not like dogs and inherited him. He's a super good dog, listens VERY well, loves walks and is trained to walk next you. He does not run off, bite, or fight with other dogs. He is an indoor.outdoor pet but has not tried to come in for some time now since he gets attacked. I have thought about getting rid of the male that is doing the attacking, however I will not risk him going to a home when he is aggressive towards other male dogs or the pound. It is safer for me to re-home Taz, so if anyone is interested in helping him find a good home where he will be safe, it is much appreciated. Please note that I am not getting rid of him because he's a bad dog or I do not want him. I'm not an irresponsible pet owner, he's a great dog and I'm trying to protect him and allow him to be happy and have the freedom to play and run around without being afraid or attacked by another dog.     Josie in Napa is an adorable 5 year old Black Beauty Cattle Dog girl. She is a very sweet and loving dog who is active. She has silky shiny black hair. She is medium size about 50 lbs. Josie loves running and we didn't have her herding sheep but we know she has the skills with the right owner to teach her, she always tried to herd our other dog a Shepard mix, it was so funny, she did great pushing him around and trying to put him in certain area. Josie loves people, but small hyper children make her anxious and you have to keep an eye on her. She is super sweet with our 9 yr. old, fetch the ball and gives many kisses. She doesn't like cats ... (Read More)or is house trained. She is ok with some dogs, others not, all depends. We never tried to walk her in areas with many dogs interaction, so we don't know how she is going to react. She has had beginner manner training in Ramona (Beckman's dog training) she had many sessions and she learned how to walk in a leash with the gentle leader. We used to have 5 acres surrounded by land, no neighbors or roads like in the small house that we moved to, she seems sad. She would do great with someone who loves training and teaching and has an area for her to run and play freely, best a ranch with people who knows how to train cattle dogs to herd. Please farmer consider making Josie a part of your family! Josie is spayed and healthy, might need some vaccines. (Less)

Australian Cattle Dog    Age: Young Adult

This darling girl is Bella. She is a spayed 4 year old Australian Cattledog who is looking for a great home. Bella is about 35 pounds and wears her fabulous cattledog tail with style. Currently Bella lives outside most of the time. However, she is ready to join you in the house and be your best pal. She is house trained already. True to her breed, Bella is a smart girl. She knows many commands: sit, down, stay, off, no, go ahead, and drop it. If you ask, she will even give you a High Five! Bella isn't so sure of little kids but she does love someone who will play a rousing game of fetch with her. Fetch is her favorite activity in the ... (Read More)whole, wide world. Currently Bella pulls a bit on leash. Perhaps that is because she is looking for an active home that will help her burn off some of that cattledog energy. An obedience refresher will help her a lot, too. She loves to learn and is ready to be a best pal. Bella is generally good with other dogs. She has been polite at the dog beach, though she does like a proper introduction as is typical of the breed. As for cats, she was mildly interested when she saw one as a puppy but hasn't had a chance to make any cat friendships since. Bella is ready to meet potential adopters in Southern CA. Rescue Me ID: 15-05-11-00467Talulah (Lulu) (female)

Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

At 36 lbs. and with semi-erect ears, we believe she is a cattle dog and Schnauzer (or possibly a Wire Haired Pointing Griffon?) mix. We estimate that she is around 2-3 years old. Our new girl is very sweet, quiet, and loves people. She adores human attention, petting and cuddling. While Lulu is a friendly girl, she is also very cautious and worried. Whenever a hand comes near her head, Lulu will duck her head down in fear. She needs to approach people on her own terms, at her own pace. Lulu will warm up to people and seek human attention, but sudden movements or loud noises will cause her to shoot out of the room. She keeps track of ... (Read More)where people are at all times, watches all movements, and seems to need an emergency exit strategy. Once she knows she can trust someone, she will come up to you with a wagging tail, inching closer and closer, and place her head on your lap. It took 2-3 days for Lulu's fosters to see a happy girl and some personality begin to emerge from behind her fear. She sleeps on her fosters' bed at night and is always ready for snuggling. Lulu is very smart and eager to please her people. Our girl is extremely treat motivated. She loves toys that can be stuffed with treats, and other chew toys/items (i.e. bully sticks). Otherwise, Lulu does not have any interest in toys or balls. She is also completely house trained and walks fairly well on leash. When outside, she will walk slightly behind, but stays very close to her person. Lulu did not know any commands when we rescued her. Our fosters are working on teaching Lulu basic commands, such as sit, down, & stay. Lulu is very good around cats. She meets other dogs nicely and enjoys their company, but is unsure of what to do when other dogs try to play with her. Active play is often overwhelming for her. She will become defensive -- showing her teeth, wrinkling her nose, and may try to hump or push the other dog. We believe Lulu would benefit from living with a friendly, balanced dog, who can teach her appropriate dog body language and responses when interacting with other dogs. We also recommend bringing Lulu to observe dogs playing at a dog park, to allow her to see and learn how dogs play with each other and appropriate body language. Our foster for Lulu believe she was possibly kept in a crate most of the time, as she is very reluctant to go into a crate, but will sit quietly if crated. It is clear from the behavior we see in Lulu that she was mistreated in some way and likely very neglected, too. We are seeking a quiet, slow paced (& hopefully cage/crate free) home, with loving people who have dog experience, patience, and a lot of TLC to help our fuzzy waif feel secure enough to come out of her shell and slowly gain some confidence.     Looking for a mellow older dog or two? Look no further! Beautiful pure bred Australian Cattle Dogs (aka Queensland Heelers). Just the sweetest most loving girls. No trouble at all and they really need a home or homes. They're both very small in stature, probably mother and daughter both need to lose weight! They're reducing right now, they don't eat much, so it's a matter of getting them on some walks. They probably never were walked and in small quarters where they lived all these years. These girls are not high energy, but they enjoy their walks! Their story is, confiscated by animal services... these gals were in a bad situation, but do ... (Read More)they hold a grudge? Nooooo! These are the sweetest, happiest cattle dogs ever! Their coats are like mink! So soft! As stated, overweight (hence the neglect issue), and we're be getting the weight off! She has room to run now! Gizzz has cataracts and deemed blind, but she can see shades and gets around beautifully. Again, sweet and loving as can be. She's very happy right now! Turbo is 7 yrs. A little chunky too... and has a fatty tumor under her neck. No big deal. Looking into having surgically handled. Charlotte of Meade Rescue, is fostering both and writes: 'Super soft fur, good teeth, happy, waggy, not very food focused, relatively quiet, They walk great on leashes. Happy dogs who love attention. Gizmo is incredibly smart for sight challenged. They both are active but not hyper. They respond to their names and quickly connect with the people around them. Gizmo looks similar but Turbo with her chewed ear is said to be 7, a heavy also not obese. They are both beautiful happy dogs. Seem to have no anxiety, and they are now different dogs than the first day here.' Again, neither dog is really into food, and they are already losing weight just by being able to run and play. They get so excited they hop! Both girls are spayed , vaccinated and we will micro-chip, ready to move on to greener pastures! If you have any room in your home and heart for an easy, gorgeous, girl or two like Gizz and Turbo, please email: show contact info Meade Rescue, is a 501(c)3 and permitted by the county of San Luis Obispo, Animal Services. Australian Cattle Dog    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults

This handsome, fun guy is Dyllon, a one year old Australian Cattledog. He is currently 35 pounds and should fill out some, though he won't get any taller. We think he will end up at about 40 pounds. Dyllon is learning quickly because he loves to please. He has 'sit' all figured out and is crate trained, too. He will excel with obedience training. He is also house trained and benefits from regular potty breaks to ensure that he fully understands this new skill. Dyllon is good with large and small dogs. He is also good with cats. He is definitely interested in them but won't chase a dog-savvy cat. Play is one of Dyllon's favorite words. He ... (Read More)loves to play chase with other dogs. He also enjoys a rousing game of tug with his person. He did have hip surgery just a little while ago, so he doesn't have a future as a performance sports dog. However, as you see in the video, he is fast and agile. Do you want a dog to go with you on your adventures? Dylan is up for that. He enjoys car rides and is polite in the car. Then, when your adventures are over, get ready to cuddle. He thinks that he is a lap dog and loves to snuggle up close. Finally, Dyllon is still a puppy. He benefits from a chew toy to keep his mouth occupied. As he matures, he should grow out of his puppy tendency to chew. Dylan is microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to meet potential adopters in Southern CA. He will be neutered before being adopted. He is being fostered in the Inland Empire. Adopters north of Santa Barbara will be happily referred to our more northern rescue partners. A home visit and vet reference are required. (Less)

Of his foster parents (there are 3) he has chosen the male as his leader & best friend. Colby follows his foster dad around the house & will plop on the floor of whichever room he is in for a nap. Colby is completely housebroken and walks fairly well on leash. He is great indoors, but also loves his outdoor time. He will sun bathe during the day or cool off outside at night. When Colby was rescued by HITTGV he was sick and his energy level was very low. As he recovered, he is showing himself to be a playful, young, boy with a moderate energy level. We feel his stamina can build up more over time. He loves his daily walks & will goof around the house with his foster dad. When Colby is feeling playful or is excited to meet new people, he likes to hop up and place his front paws on people. When feeling playful, he will sometimes get a little mouthy, and try to hold your hand in his mouth. When it is time to relax Colby will lie near his foster parents, nudging for affection every once in a while. He absolutely loves belly rubs! During the night Colby will sleep in his crate, but does not like to be locked in. When he wakes up he is quiet until his foster mom wakes up to let him outside & prepare his breakfast. Our boy needs someone to love, guide and nurture him for the rest of his life. He knows sit and his fosters are working on teaching him more commands. He will work for affection & treats (he loves treats). As a thinking cattle dog, Colby sometimes has a mind of his own, and needs a human leader to work with him on his occasional stubborn ways. She is currently being fostered in Santa Monica. For more info please visit our website for an application at www.apurposefulrescue.org

Layla was found as a stray by our friends at Hope For Paws. She was then brought to us so we could help her adjust with the changes from being on the streets to being part of a family. She is amazing! So smart, attentive, great with other dogs, loving with humans (a bit shy with men still but she warms up fast given the opportunity). NO CATS. Hasn't hurt any cats but she's too interested. She knows sit, down and rollover. She was obviously trained at some point. House trained, crate trained and no food or toy aggression.

If you are looking for a lovely little home body to keep you company, Whinnie is it. Winnie is a 5 year old female Australian Cattledog who weighs a petite 30 pounds. She is a total love bug, enjoys cuddling, and prefers to stay on her property with her family. Whinnie is a definite smarty girl. She knows sit, kennel, outside, inside, and wait. The more you tell her, the more she learns. Currently Whinnie lives with four other Cattledogs and a few cats. She is good with dogs her size and larger. She is a bit shy at first, but warms up to her pals after just a little while. After she has made friends, she will play a little bit one-on-one. ... (Read More)She also finds the cats to be fine companions, sleeping with them on the bed at night but not looking to be playmates. Whinnie rides nicely in the car. While she is a home body, she will politely accompany her person on a trip as needed. She is also a polite girl in the house, already potty trained and crate trained. Mostly, Whinnie wants to be close. She will climb up into her person's lap and rub her head against her person in a cuddling motion. She really wants to be best friends.     Meet Miss Minnie Pearl, a real pearl of a girl. She is a 4 year old pixie, weighing 29 pounds, and full of love with her long, cattledog tail. Don't let her smaller stature fool you. She is ready for an active home. Minnie is looking for a person who appreciates her love of fetching, her obsession for herding her plastic ball, and perhaps will join in the fun. In fact, one could call Minnie a toy hoarder. She takes very good care of them and does not pull the stuffing out of her toys like some dogs do. She has been known to carry a toy with her around the house, holding it in her mouth as she walks along. Minnie Pearl currently lives with ... (Read More)other dogs and likes them. Like all ladies, she simply prefers a polite introduction upon meeting. With a few dogs, she will even play. A submissive or neutral dog would be a lovely companion for her. Her ideal home would be with one other dog or as an only dog. That said, she isn't a good fit for a home with cats, chickens, or other small animals. If she did live with small animals, her herding instinct would require supervision. Miss Minnie Pearl is a very polite girl. She knows sit, wait, and off. She also walks nicely on a leash and rides politely in the car. She is ready for a person who wants to go places and take her along. Minnie really focuses on her person and prefers women to men. She is ready to make a deep bond and be someone's very best gal pal. That said, with her activity level, Minnie is not a fit for a home with kids under high school age. Minnie is a lovely house pal. She is house trained and, if you ask, will go into her crate where she remains quietly until it is time to get out. Minnie Pearl is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to meet potential adopters in Southern CA. She is being fostered in the Inland Empire.     AJ is a very loyal, sweet, loving dog. We've had him since he was a puppy. He's extremely smart. He walks great on a leash, potty trained and loves to cuddle. He would be a great working dog. His only issue is meeting new people. If he's unsure about someone he tends to nip their hand. After that he's yoir new best friend. I don't know what that behavior is all about but I suspect it could be corrected with some behavioral training. He's really a great dog. We live him to pieces just can't keep him anymore. I would be ok with letting him go to a good home. Please if anyone can help I would forever be in debt to you. I love my dog. Thank you

Meet Breck, a 2.5 year old male Australian Cattledog who is looking for an active home. Breck is the perfect size for adventure, weighing about 30 pounds, and has a docked tail. Unfortunately, Breck's person fell on hard times and, despite loving him dearly, knows that Breck needs more. Breck is one smart boy! Breck is already trained. He knows sit and down. He also has some fun tricks: shake, jump, and roll over. He loves to play frisbee and fetch. Also, ... (Read More)Breck is very fit. He is used to daily 5 mile jogs and plenty of long weekend hikes with his person. Breck is a great companion for the active person. Additionally, Breck is polite in the house. He is house and crate trained. Sticking close to his person when there is down time is just as important as when there is outdoor fun. A friendly guy, he is good with other dogs of all sizes. He doesn't mind cats unless they run through the yard. So, a home with another dog who isn't pushy would be great for Breck as long as his family understands that he doesn't like to have a dog take his toys. If he doesn't have to share, Breck loves to spend time with other dogs. Breck is polite in the car and walks nicely on the leash. He is still learning to heel and could use someone to remind him from time to time. Breck is neutered, full of fun, and ready to meet potential adopters in Southern CA. HIs vet records will be given to his new family so they can stay up to date on his vaccinations. Out of area adopters will be happily referred to local rescues in their area.     Meet Hope... she has some now. Left at Ramona Animal services, Hope is only about 7 months old. Little Australian Cattle Dog / Border Collie mix, definitely has working instinct, and knows not what to do with it. So she herds dogs, beautifully, but the pack does not appreciate that! Since she got here today, she's learned that's not appropriate behavior and she's having ball with the rest of the pack now. Hope had an accident when she was younger, a broken foot. It was allowed to heal, poorly. She gets around fine. She actually is at an advantage as it is her rear leg. She was seen by my awesome vet, last Weds. We have 3 options, 1. Leave ... (Read More)it, she uses it to balance while standing sitting and lying down. And it causes no pain for her and will not in the future. 2. Amputate above the foot, get her a prosthesis. I got quotes on both. 3. Amputate completely, a more expensive surgery. She showed me an interesting side, on a walk with a prospective adoptive family, Hope was giving me trouble on leash, and I realized, she kept looking back at the couple little stragglers in our group. It wasn't until all of us, were in formation and walking as a group, that Hope relaxed into a nice walk. She wanted her flock all together! Especially the kids. Hope should be a family with young children, she's going to be the best nanny! Now Hope is chilling here with the pack. Living like it's home. Goes on daily off leash pack walks. and runs like the wind. She loves to go on walks. On or off leash. Great with the other dogs. House broken and using my dog door. Perfect indoor manners. No worries when she's inside. Rides beautifully in a vehicle. Hope is beautiful. Soft shiny coat and classic Border Collie/ Queensland. Very intelligent little thing. Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Low Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Say 'hi' to Ted... quietly, he's nervous! Ted came here with his sister/mother, who knows, Tessa from the small Orange Cove Shelter. Sometimes you wish you knew a dog's story. How could they be SO messed up?! Ted is one of those dogs. He's fearful and under socialized. Been working with him, and experience has proven that they are all reachable. The kind of progress I'm grateful for, he sniffs other dogs, comes in to sleep on a dog bed of his own volition, housebroken, not terrified of me anymore, eats grass on walks... walks on a leash. I can touch him... I'm tellin' ya, it's the little things that are enormous with some of these guys! ... (Read More) Ted needs a special adopter, one who might understand what Ted is going through. He could just be left alone to exist, but I would love to see him with someone that would touch him every day, take him on walks, expose him to things. This is when I've seen the most improvements. Exposure to everything! Immersion. Was a huge deal to even force him to sleep in a dog bed next to me! Once he did for a few days, he expected it! Routine is key! Dogs are incredible, you can reach them through routine. Still working and he has all the time he needs... Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Draco has been with us for about 3 months. He came from the shelter and was a bit of a handful but settled in quickly to his new kennel. He has been attending the Sunday Emily Fraser-Thomson classes and he's been doing pretty well, he still has lessons to learn but he's a real smart boy. He does real well with other dogs as long as they also want to run and play. He has been told no by a few dogs and he has listened... Draco is a good boy and is ready to move into a foster or adoptive home. He is playful, friendly and affectionate and is an active dog. He will do best in a home that is the same. Such a good boy.

Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Abused/Neglected

Gabby is a sweet girl who loves playing with her friends Sani and Aspen, as well as all the other dogs at the rescue. She is shy of people (was rescued as a stray) but is curious and will come up to sniff and grab a treat. She is calm on the leash and prefers to walk right to your side or behind you. She had distemper in the past and as a result has permanent damage to her back legs. She plays and walks just fine but would not be a good candidate for runs or lengthy hikes. Gabby would love a home with another dog and a yard, and even better if she could be adopted with her friends Sani and Aspen. She's a real cutie.

Howdy, I'm Rose! I love people; especially ones that brush me, give me biscuits, and take me for walks on my leash. I absolutely adore showing off my backyard sprinting skills, and will do fancy spins when requested and then present you with a goofy grin! I'm also extremely content to just hang out by your side and watch what you are doing '| honestly, I'm not a pup anymore and a few good laps around the yard gets my jollies out. I'm not into playing games, I just like being a companion. I get along with all the people and dogs I have met here; but my foster Mom thinks I was a hunter's dog or a farm girl, so small prey like kitties and I ... (Read More)don't mix. I do need a secure yard because when opportunity knocks I'm going to go a sniffin'! I walk well on leash, am content to relax in my kennel, and know many basic commands. I need a house full of soft beds, people who like snuggles, and yummy treats! It's lonely being an outside dog here '| my foster mom tries to make sure I have a companion with me to keep me company throughout the day and I do get to kennel up inside at night for bed, but I don't get to hang out with the family inside because they have indoor kitties. I dream of having a home where I can live out my days being right by your side and making you smile every time I flash you my goofy grin. Rose is up to date on her shots, is licensed in Kern County, and is micro chipped. The YouTube video is of Rose sharing her food with our little dog Lilly, Rose is so sweet! If you, or someone you know, would like to give this special girl a forever home, please contact me! (661) 412-3179 or kayk79@gmail.com PLEASE - ROSE needs and deserves a forever home where she can always come inside and lay by your feet while you watch TV, or hang out by your side while you putter around in the backyard. She really loves just hanging out with you. She's not one to chase a ball, I throw one for her and she looks at me like, 'Yeah, and now what?' Instead she just likes to run Indy 500 laps around the yard stopping each lap to lick my hand and say 'Hi' then after about 4 laps she just sits next to me and enjoys watching the world go by. I currently cannot walk her - and she LOVES walks! I was in a SEVERE automobile accident 2 years ago and fractured my pelvis. My heart breaks because I feel like I am the worst foster mom to this wonderful sweet girl - so please, let's find Rose a forever home! (Less)

lnteresting Australian Cattle Dog Trivia Low-Cost California Spay & Neuter Clinics
Australian Cattle Dogs were bred by 19th century Australian pioneers to herd cattle on large ranches. Most Australian Cattle Dogs have a star-shaped marking on their foreheads called the Bentley Mark, after dog owner Thomas Bentley, whose purebred dog supposedly passed this mark on to all genuine Australian Cattle Dogs. Australian Cattle Dogs are descended from several different breeds, including Dalmatians and Smithfield Collies, which are now thought to be extinct.
