Animal ID: #17-06-25-00377Chance (male)

Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Adult Women Only
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

'Chance' was a stray that I adopted. He was my constant companion. He is not neutered. He became very protective over me. He became aggressive with my roommate (male) and bit him. I HAD to give him up. It breaks my heart. I am hoping to find him a good home so he will not be euthanized. He has been a one person dog, because I made him that way. He does not HAVE to be. He spent a lot of time with me. Always by my side. He is a good companion. I love him very much. I hope he can be adopted, and live out his life. His ID # is ID#A153451. Thank You.

Petite and darling, this girl is Skye. She is a 10 year old Australian Cattledog that weighs about 27 pounds. Skye is house and crate trained. Now that her puppies are spayed and ready to get their own homes, she is ready to fit into a family. She is smart and will learn quickly. Skye is a nice and social girl. She is nice with men and women. Older, quiet kids would be fine. She is a sweet girl but has had a hard life. She was left at a shelter pregnant and skinny. She was a very good mom and her pups are now ready to be on their own. Skye is now ready for a quieter kind of life with lots of love. Skye is also nice with other dogs. We ... Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults

This darling girl is Starla. She is what is called a Texas Heeler, meaning that she is half Australian Cattledog and half Border Collie. She is a 2 year old girl who weighs about 40 pounds. Starla is a smart girl. She has quickly learned sit and inside. She would love to learn more. She will also really blossom with someone who appreciates a thinking dog. Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

I guess that was the street name he was on when he was picked up for vagrancy... I would change it right now... except, he actually answers to it! Ugh! Round Up is about 5 years old, and came to me via Kern County Animal Services, on the 81 dogs adopted day! He was one of the few that went to rescue. He came here with Spika. What I have observed, he is wonderful with other dogs. Not a hair out of place when he met 10 new faces. He is really reasonable and is very content in my back yard with all the waterers, feeders, and dog-loos. He's not a barker, nor does he have destructive tendencies... well he is 5, mature enough to be done with ... (Read More)those things, but these are things I look for! Round up is a cattle dog mix, and he had guy-liner! Gorgeous brown eyes, lined exotically out past the corners. He has a long tail, and someone chewed on one of his ears at some point in his life. But, he seems to hold no grudges. RoundUp is also very, very sweet with people. He was shy for about 10 seconds. Then he shows himself to be an affable guy.     Meet Concho. This handsome boy is a 2 year old purebred Australian Cattledog who weighs about 40-50 pounds. Conch spent his early years as an outside dog and is ready to learn about being with his family inside. He already knows 'come here' and 'go in your kennel.' He learns quickly and will really blossom with just a little bit of attention. He does not go potty in his kennel so should also quickly learn about being polite in the house. Conch is friendly with men and women. The good samaritan who is helping him doesn't have kids, so we are not sure how he is with children. Older children should be fine. Conch is also friendly with ... (Read More)other dogs, big and small. As is normal with Cattledogs, he would likely prefer a home without overly energetic dogs. Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)

Kiefer is 4 1/2 now. Was adopted to a young family in 2015. He was doing very well. The kids are getting bigger and having friends over - a lot! And they feel safe with him around their kids but can't keep him separated from other kids when they come over. He's so cute they can't keep their hands off of him and can't read his signals. Keeping him contained during playdates is no small feat as he hates to be away from the family even inside the house. Kiefer is such a great dog and would really love to be in an adult only home or at least one without elementary aged kids. He would be an amazing pal to someone who lives alone. He is such a ...     I have had Sandra Dee since she was an 8 week old puppy. She loves going on long walks and especially loves going to the beach! She gets along great with our older, big dog. Unfortunately, she has started to become aggressive towards myself since having my daughter. Unfortunately, as much as we love Sandra Dee, the safety of our baby is more important. She is microchipped, spayed, up to date of all vaccinations, and I will continue to pay for her maintenance veterinary fees (heart worm prevention, updating shots, etc.) for the rest of this year at a Banfield location if she is adopted.     My name is Majel. My family has to move away because their house was sold, and they can't take me with them. All the no kill shelters are full, and no friends have homes with land where I can run and play. I love everyone, and just want to be pet and taken for long walks. If you let me, I'll be your best friend, but I'm very afraid of fireworks, loud noises, and being without my human. Won't you please come save me?

Sweet, sensitive, and simply lovely, this is Ember. She is a 4 year old Australian Cattledog female who is ready to finally like a good life. Ember had a rough past but she still have a warm heart. She is learning how fantastic it is to be someone's best pal, live in a house, and get to learn things. She already knows sit. She has also quickly been house trained. She likes to fit in and wants to learn. Initially shy, she does warm up quickly. She has a nice temperament but we think older kids would be better for her sweet nature. She is also nice with dogs, large and small. She would enjoy a playmate (see the video). She even spent time ... (Read More)with a Chihuahua and was a very nice girl. Ember is learning about the leash and learning quickly. She is already a good passenger in the car. She will make a wonderful out-and-about companion. Ember is super affectionate. She loves to cuddle in bed with her person. She likes gentle play. She even has a cute little dance when she welcomes her person home. Ember is a lovely girl who will blossom in a quieter home where just a bit of patience will help her finish her transition from stray to house diva. Ember is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. She is ready to meet potential adopters in So Cal. A home visit and vet reference are required. (Less)

Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant

Red, sassy, and looking for a home that adores Cattledogs: meet Autumn. This purebred 2.5 year old girl is a total gem and needs a home that knows how to help a Cattledog be all they can be. Autumn is a gorgeous red girl with a perfect white Bentley and a long Cattledog tail. She weighs about 50 pounds. Autumn was purchased as a pup and raised by the same owner. Over time, Autumn has proven to need a bit more and her current person is sad but knows that Autumn needs a new home. Autumn is crate trained. She also knows sit and will excel in a home that wants to teach her more. She is also good on a leash. She loves car rides and gets exited ... (Read More)to go. She would love a home that takes her on hikes and other places, a home that knows how to wear out a Cattledog girl. When you are headed home, Autumn is known to take the leash in her mouth and challenge you to a race home. Who is faster? Then, at home, she will give hugs. Yep, hugs to her person. Autumn is nice with women. She is slower to warm up to men, but she does like kids. She also loves to play with water. If you turn on the water hose and aim at her, she will be your best pal (see video). She also loves tug toys and will play with a rope. Autumn is a bit dog-selective. She isn't a fan of small dogs, which can be common with Cattledogs. She would thrive in a home that knows how to keep the pack order, especially if the other dogs are non-reactive. That will set her up for success. Autumn's herding drive causes her to chase horses and cats. A home without cats or livestock is best. Initially Autumn went everywhere with her person. However, Autumn likes to asset herself so she needs a home that knows how to manage Cattledog tendencies. In a home like that, she should be easy to correct with clear boundaries and rules. With that, she should really thrive. Autumn is up to date on vaccinations. She will be spayed soon. She is located in Riverside and is ready to meet a So Cal adopter with Cattledog experience. Rescue Me ID: 17-05-06-00355Cillian (male)

Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Cillian is in a predicament and needs a new home with a little less social activity than his current home. He is about 18 mo. old, neutered, weighs about 55 lbs. and, best guess, is Cattle Dog/Kelpie. He's located in Redwood City and here's what his current guardians have to say about him: Since he was adopted, Cillian has been living with an 11 & 13 yr. old and their parents. Every week he goes for a playdate to work out some of his boundless energy with other dogs. He always gets a good report from the staff and has fun playing with the other dogs. He has completed 2 obedience classes and knows how to sit, stay, lie down, shake and can ... (Read More)even 'fist bump'. However, his household is a very social one with people always coming and going. When he gets walked, Cillian sometimes strains at the leash and barks defensively to keep others away. He is very loyal to 'his' people. He sometimes barks/pulls on his leash with some dogs as well, if they are on a walk. He has never been around cats but will chase squirrels. Much as they love him, his owners realize he is never going to be the therapy dog they were looking for and would be better off in a new home that has a little less social activity going on. Cillian would love to be in a quieter home with experienced dog owners that have the patience and understanding he needs. Could that be you? For an application to meet Cillian, email: info@cchdrescue.org. Adoption fee is $100.     Meet Pumpkin, a classic red female Australian Cattledog. She is three years old and weight about 41 pounds. Pumpkin is a polite girl. She is friendly with women and most men. She also gets along with most dogs. Just like a Cattledog, once in a while she is just a tad bit finicky but that is nothing that someone with breed experience can't easily manage and overcome. With some dogs, she will play for hours! We aren't sure how she is with kids, so older kids are preferred for Pumpkin. Pumpkin is polite in the house, too. She is house and crate trained. She does prefer to be with her people, so she is looking for a home where she isn't left ... (Read More)alone for a standard work day. She is also very smart. She knows sit. She comes when called. She takes treats gently. She would love to keep learning. Pumpkin likes to go on adventures. She is good on a leash, but tugs just a bit. She is wonderful as a traveling companion as she is very polite in the car. She would love a home that wants to take her places and keep her busy. Then, at the end of the day, Pumpkin wants to cuddle with her person. She even talks a bit! Pumpkin is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. She is ready to meet potential adopters in So Cal. Compatibility: Good with Most Cats, Good with Adults (Not Kids)

Young, adorable relationship-building dog in foster care really needs his forever home!! Jax, a 2.5 year-old, lean 30 lb. Cattle Dog/Am. Staff. mix, has been in foster for nearly 2 years now, most of his life. He is inherently fearful and needs to build trust through patience with a dog-savvy adopter, but he's so sweet, loving, and loyal, and builds such a strong bond once he does, it's worth every minute. He's very easily managed without any medications or special equipment. He's super intelligent, housetrained, knows how to use a doggie door, and knows lots of commands. He's also vaccinated, micropchipped, and neutered. Now all he ... (Read More)needs is to find his forever home. He has lived with two medium/large dogs and can potentially live with other appropriate, tolerant medium dogs if introduced properly. He plays very well with my medium dog. He does not get along with small dogs. He has also lived with cats and is fine with mellow ones. He will bark at them if they move erratically or show fear. He has also lived with foster kittens and has done well. He has been around older, dog-savvy kids but would not be ideal for a first-time dog owner. He is partially muzzle-trained for occasions when a situation could be too stressful for him (vet visits, exposure to unfamiliar people in new environments, etc.) He loves to go for long walks and hikes, fetch tennis balls, chew on bones and toys, and work for treats. He can also entertain himself well and does not appear to have any separation anxiety or similar issues. He just needs a place to call his own, where he feels safe and comfortable. His rescue organization is Love That Dog Hollywood, but he has been in my home as a foster. I'd be happy to share additional details or answer any questions about this wonderful little guy! (Less)

Australian Cattle Dog    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Male Dogs Only, Good with Adults (Not Kids)

This beautiful girl is Zippity Do Dawg, or Zippy for short. She was born in March, 2012, so is 5 years old. For those of us with herding dog experience, we know that this is an ideal age for this breed. This darling, spayed female Australian Cattle Dog was saved in the nick of time from near death at a local shelter. She was adopted to a wonderful older lady who recently passed away. Now, she needs a new home. She prefers a home with adults or possibly with older kids. Zippy is 5 years old, approximately 35 pounds, and knows her basic obedience: sit, stay, leave it, and lay down. She is also house and crate trained. She has been snippy ... (Read More)in the past with other dogs in the household and other visiting dogs, especially other female dogs, so she is looking for a home where she is the only dog and she can be a total shadow to her person. If there is another dog, it should be a lower energy male who is polite. This sweet girl is all about love. She is a bit velcro and likes to snuggle on the couch with her person. She has an average to lower heeler energy level and loves to be with her people. However, if you turn on the sprinkler, she turns zippy and will jump in for action. If you turn on the hose, she loves to bite the water. Zippy rides nicely in the car, often sleeping until you get to your destination. She also walks nicely on a leash. Zippy is ready for her forever home. She is microchipped, spayed, heart worm negative, and fully vaccinated. A vet reference and home visit are required as part of the adoption process. Adoption is limited to Southern California. (Less)

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is being posted as a courtesy for the people who currently have Arya. For more information or questions, please contact Nalyne at (925) 456-4879, or email nalyne@mac.com Adoption range - Alameda, Marin, Santa Clara, Contra Costa, Santa Cruz, and Sonoma County only. Arya is a 1 year old Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie mix, with a moderate to high energy level, and weighs 43 lbs. Arya is a great youngster who has many wonderful characteristics and charm. Arya does well in doggie daycare and kennel-free boarding with other dogs. She loves to be with her people and is very gentle with children. She is potty trained, ... (Read More)stays off furniture, rides nicely in cars, uses a doggie door, is well behaved when dining outdoors, and loves watching TV, especially Sesame Street and Bolt. She has the potential to be a great companion for those who are willing to invest the time and resources to raise her properly. She requires someone who can provide love, structure and positive reinforcement training. She is doing well in her basic obedience and Nose Works. She would make a great agility dog. She is in foster care with 2 elderly Belgium Shepherds. She has too much puppy energy for one of them, who is a special needs dog. We love Arya dearly as she is a sweet, loving, and gentle natured pup. We want to give her the chance to find a home that can shower her with love and the activities that she needs to be happy and balanced. She is reactive to cats when walking on leash. She is good with and plays appropriately with other dogs, but she is not comfortable at dog parks. She has been bitten by rowdy dogs in dog parks. Off leash dog friendly trails like Fort Funston and Regional Park trails have been better options. Her recall is still a work in progress which needs to be worked on by her new parent(s). Arya is a joy to be with, but she is NOT a turn-key dog. She has textbook Australian Cattle Dog characteristics of being super smart, very athletic, and sometimes has a mind of her own. She wants to be your companion and partner, and needs to have her brain occupied throughout much of the day. For this reason, she would do best with people who work from home or can otherwise have her with them much of the day. Arya is looking for a forever home that will provide structure, training, dedication and love for a much deserving soul who will be totally devoted to her people. Arya's ideal home would be with people who have an active lifestyle and like to explore nature and the outdoors. Arya is spayed, microchipped, on Simparica and Heartgard. She is up to date on all vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $300 (Will be donated to HITTGV). If you are interested in meeting Arya, please first complete the HITTGV adoption form, by going to hittgv.org and click on the Adopt button near the top of the page, to find the online Adoption Form. Rescue Me ID: 17-01-06-00568Snarfles (male)

Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

It doesn't get any sweeter than Snarfles. This darling little Cattledog mix found himself in a shelter with a seriously bad case of Secondary Acanthuses NIgricans (or for those of us non-medical types- long term neglect left his hair and skin in horrible shape). Now he is healing, his charming personality is coming out, and he is looking for a forever home who is willing to love him as his hair finishes growing in. Snarfles is between 5-6 years old and weighs about 33 pounds. He is a gentle, low key boy who is a social butterfly. He loves everyone that he meets: people, dogs, and cats. He even likes the vet! Snarfles is a very nice boy in ... (Read More)the house. He is house and crate trained. He adores people and loves to cuddle and be held. Heck, he is even looks dashing in a sweater. Don't let that calm demeanor fool you. He is a smartie pants. He knows his name and comes when called. He is working on sit and stay. As for food, that is his special pleasure. He will do anything for food. He can hear a treat bag open from the other side of the house and will bark to let you know that he wants one immediately! If you want a fun little buddy who will root for your sports team, hang out with you on the couch, and snack with you, this guy is your dog. That said, he is wonderful on leash and great in a car. So, when it's time to work off the calories from eating snacks, he is ready to keep you company on walks and hikes. Mostly, Snarfles is looking for an amazing home who will see the beauty in his heart. He adores attention and is almost surprised when he gets it. He blossoms more every day and will be a fantastic pal for someone. Snaffles is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He is available to meet potential adopters in Southern CA, since he is a beach weather kind of guy. A home visit and vet reference are required. (Less)

Talk about a total gem. This is Brandy. She is a 11 year old Border Collie/Cattledog mix who needed a helping hand out of a shelter. She weighs a petite 25 pounds. Her person passed away and she kept vigil until she was dropped at a shelter. Now, she is looking to give that same amazing devotion to a new family. Brandy is a very pretty girl and she is a very nice girl. She is very devoted and is looking to make a special bond with someone. She appreciates getting lots of attention. She is a friendly girl and is ready to go anywhere her person goes, including out to lunch! Currently she is a fan of hanging out at Starbuck's with her foster ... (Read More)mom. She is polite in the car and is ready to go for a ride. Don't let her age fool you. This breed stays vibrant for a long time. She is plenty of dog to be a wonderful companion. She loves a good walk a few times a day and pulls on the leash since she is having such a good time. She is walking for 30 minutes a few times a day at the moment. Brandy is lovely with others. She is nice with other dogs and even good with cats. She is also polite in the house and is house trained. She will sit when asked, too. Brandi has received a clean bill of health and is in lovely shape. Brandi is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on shots. She is ready for her forever home in SoCal. Brandy tells us that she prefers a home with adults and, if there are kids, they are quieter and older. She is a thoughtful girl who prefers quieter activities. Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Seizures

[Read About Natural Seizure Care] This darling girl is Nettie. She is a Cattledog/Border Collie mix who was born into rescue. Because she is a special needs girl, she needs a special home. Nettie weight about 40 pounds and is a happy girl. She loves people and loves to play with other dogs. Nettie has lots of friends. She plays and runs around the yard with other dogs (see the video). She is also polite with cats. She is a very social girl with people, too. She is good in the car and is a favorite at the pet food store and vet's office. Nettie knows to go to her crate for bed-time. She also knows sit. She is house trained and appreciates a ... (Read More)schedule that allows her to go out a bit more frequently than some other dogs. Nettie's herding dog smarts are helping her to adjust to a case of epilepsy that came upon her as a younger puppy. With regular medication and comfort in her environment, Nettie's seizures have been under control. She seeks a home with people who are home more than not, like to have fun and cuddle on a very pretty and soft girl, and will keep up the structure that keeps her happy and healthy. She would also like a home where she can be on the furniture, since she does like to act like a mountain goat from time to time. With a face like that, who minds? Nettie is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. She is ready to meet potential adoptive homes in SoCal. A home visit and a vet reference are required. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-12-06-00427GRACE (female)

Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Grace is an extremely smart, loving, and athletic 2-3 year old, cattle dog and border collie mix with a real desire to work. She weighs 38 lbs., and is a moderate energy girl.%A0Grace is shy at first; but once you gain her trust, she is extremely affectionate and will dive into your arms, kiss your face, and then tuck her head under your chin and paw at you for more love. Being close to and loved by her person, is what Grace wants more than anything else. She doesn't play with most toys, but does enjoy playing tug of war with a rope toy.%A0Tug can be used a training reward and a way to build a special bond with her person. %A0 Grace's ... (Read More)fosters have been working with her every day on training, and to socialize her. She is as smart as they come, eager to please, and a fast learner, who loves her training sessions. She loves to trick-train and knows approximately 30 cues.%A0Some of her favorites include: rebounding off of walls, jumping over hurdles, spinning, and performing a figure-8 around her handler's legs.%A0She usually learns tricks within 10 repetitions, at which point, a hand signal can be introduced.%A0Within a few training sessions, the trick can be put on a verbal cue.%A0 Grace was given a herding aptitude test. The trainer said that with a patient handler, she could definitely be a good working herder. Grace loves to climb and balance on objects.%A0 %A0 When Grace's foster family first found her, she was very fearful. For the first few weeks, she army crawled throughout their house because she was afraid of the ceiling (it was likely her first time being inside).%A0She would freeze and then react if she saw a stranger (person or dog) over 400 ft. away.%A0She could not be in the same room with other dogs, and would even bark/react to dogs through a baby gate.%A0 %A0 In the few months that she has spent with her fosters, she has progressed a great deal. On leashed walks, she is able to walk within 30 ft. of other dogs and 15 ft. of strange humans, and still remain focused on her handler. If another dog barks at her, especially from behind a fence/barrier she will definitely bark back. She is alarmed by quick movements and wants to chase. She also reacts this way with squirrels and cats encountered on walks. With more rewards based training, she can learn to remain calm during these types of distractions. %A0 Grace is basically a submissive dog, who has only started learning how to live with other creatures in the past few months. She is continuing to improve, but still has some issues being around other dogs, especially when the dogs are moving. She can be in the same room with other dogs, but she tries to herd them if they move around too much. For this reason, she would do best in a home with no other dogs, or a much older dog, or a home where she could be kept separate from other dogs for a while in order to provide a slow introduction. During most of the day, she is in the house, where she is most relaxed and happy. Grace is calm in the house. When Grace isn't training or loving her people, she hangs out quietly in her crate. She is always crated while her fosters are away. Her crate is her safe space, and should be a part of her forever home.%A0Because Grace is a world-class athlete, she cannot be left unattended in a backyard. She could easily climb over (or dig under) a 6 ft. fence. Grace is completely housebroken. Grace is also getting more relaxed on car rides, since nearly all her rides have been to do fun things. We recommend that she ride in a crate when in the car. Grace is usually a very quiet girl, who just wants to hang out with her people and work with them. The only times can be a bit barky is when she is working on new tricks, and when her people leave her.%A0She will bark for a few minutes when her people leave, but quickly quiets down. We believe that Grace would be be happy in a home with a small yard and a person who enjoys training activities. Grace is NOT recommended for someone with an active (running, hiking) lifestyle, or who wants to take her everywhere with them. Since Grace is just now learning to meet people without panicking, we do not recommend her for a home with children, who can make sudden unpredictable moves.%A0 In summary, Grace is a sweet, loving girl, with incredible potential, who has had some extreme unknown trauma in her past. Grace is making excellent progress with her fosters, but her adopter(s) will need to continue the work. She is NOT for a novice dog owner. Her ideal forever home should provide plenty of time for her to bond with her person. She needs TLC, patience, reassurance, encouragement, and slow positive exposure to new things. Quiet country life would be best. Busy neighborhoods/urban living/dog parks are NOT for her.%A0 If you are interested in meeting Grace, please first complete our online adoption form, at hittgv.org. Go to the Adopt button near the top of the page, and scroll down for the online form. (Less)

Named Lucky because he truly is, this guy is a 5 year old Australian Cattledog who weighs about 27 pounds. Lucky is the kind of dog whose love you earn and, when you do, he is your best friend forever. He has had a rough time of it and a good samaritan stepped in to help him. Lucky, indeed. Now, he is looking for a home who doesn't mind taking it just a bit slow at first. Simple little things make all of the difference to him, such as talking to him before coming up to him, so he knows you are coming his way. Gentle leadership will help him relax and become even more wonderful than he already is. His foster mom wishes that she had fewer ... (Read More)dogs, so she could keep him. Lucky is a typically Cattledog in that he sometimes wonders about bigger dogs. He likes small dogs and would be fine with another medium-larger dog who isn't interested in being number one. He is also uninterested in the cat in the house, so should be fine with cats. Lucky is a smart guy. He learned his name in under a week. We don't know what his name was before he came to us. Also, he is house trained. He knows his basic commands: sit, stay, quiet, and come. He is initially excited to go on an adventure, but stops pulling on the leash after just a bit. He will walk right at your side, ready for whatever fun is in store. He does love car rides. He thinks that he would like to help drive by sitting on your lap. So, he is learning to stay on his side and will benefit from a dog seatbelt or crate in the car. Mostly, Lucky is a guy who wants a committed relationship. He has a cute smile, missing one tooth. When happy, he will come up and put his head on your chest. If you lay down on the floor, he is likely to come up and lay curled up against your arm. Once he loves, he loves deeply. Lucky is neutered and is current on his rabies vaccination. He will be up to date on his other vaccinations and microchipped before adoption. Lucky is ready to meet potential adopters in Southern CA. Out of area adopters will be happily referred to our favorite rescue partners. (Less)

Meet Miss Minnie Pearl, a real pearl of a girl. She is a 6 year old pixie, weighing 29 pounds, and full of love with her long, cattledog tail. Don't let her smaller stature fool you. She is ready for an active home. Minnie is looking for a person who appreciates her love of fetching and will join in the fun. In fact, one could call Minnie a toy hoarder. She takes very good care of them and does not pull the stuffing out of her toys like some dogs do. She has been known to carry a toy with her around the house, holding it in her mouth as she walks along. Minnie Pearl currently lives with other dogs and likes them. Like all ladies, she ... (Read More)simply prefers a polite introduction upon meeting. With a few dogs, she will even play. A submissive or neutral dog would be a lovely companion for her. Miss Minnie Pearl is a very polite girl. She knows sit, wait, and off. She also walks nicely on a leash and rides politely in the car. She is ready for a person who wants to go places and take her along. Minnis is a sponge when it comes to learning. She is very interested in learning and would really blossom with additional training or even someone who wants to take her to flyball or agility. Minnie really focuses on her person. She is ready to make a deep bond and be someone's very best pal. That said, with her activity level, Minnie is not a fit for a home with kids under junior high age. Minnie is a lovely house pal.
