Rescue Me ID: 18-05-20-00406Freckles (female)

Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Freckles is a sweet and well-trained, sprightly, nine-year-old, chubby 55-pound female Cattle Dog-mix looking for a loving guardian. She may take a day to settle in to a new home, but once she does, she's so sweet and affectionate. She burrows her head against your body for a snuggle session, and head butts you. Freckles is also perfectly housebroken. Sometimes her foster dad can't get home for 10 or 12 hours and she patiently waits to go outside and relieve herself. Freckles enjoys her walks but takes it slow stopping to sniff everything along her way. She has been fine with other dogs, but we have never seen her with a cat. She has been ... (Read More)great while visiting outdoor cafes with her foster dad. After a minute, she lays down and is very well-behaved. Freckles loves her treats and waits to eat until she gets your permission. She sleeps on her own bed in the living room and never gets up on furniture. Freckles is a healthy senior, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on preventative. She has some innocent lumps and bumps associated with aging and a little bit of arthritis. But, she gets around just fine and even breaks out in a run from time to time. Her adoption fee of $300 benefits the rescued dogs of Chicagoland Bully Breed Rescue. To meet and possibly adopt Freckles, please fill out the adoption application at http://form.jotform.com/form/90863010193 and follow up by contacting carolyn@cbbr.info Freckles is being fostered in Chicago's Old Town neighborhood. Rescue Me ID: 18-04-25-00378Helly (female)

Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Helly is a beautiful, loyal and very protective Australian Cattle Dog who loves to cuddle. She is a herder by nature, therefore would do best without children in the home ( we have a n 18 month old and another baby on the way). Helly listens very well and loves to be active. Her behavior is directly linked with how much exercise she receives (she is more calm after being walked or after playing fetch which she could do for hours!) She has a bit of separation anxiety in new situations but does well with toys that will keep her mind busy. Helly is very fun and loving, would do best with an active couple with no children or other animals in the ... (Read More)house. (Less)

Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults

Meet Ty! Male Aussie/Lab Mix Currently 5 months old Currently 19lbs Hi there! I'm a super soft and sweet little pup from Tennessee. Everyone was very concerned about me because I had a rough start to life. I am very thankful to have met so many caring people that made it easy to become the sweet, playful and funny guy I am today. I am still a little shy when I meet new people, it just takes me a bit of time to check you out. Car rides still make me nervous, but I'm working on that too. I love playing with my foster brothers and sister, other dogs help me relax easier, so I would do well in a home with furry friends that like to play! ... (Read More)I'm staying with a three year old boy who is sweet to me and is very fun to play with. I'm curious about the cats, but they don't like to play so I don't bother with them. I love playing with all my toys. I love to be cuddled and I just adore a good belly rub! I was a good boy while I got my bath and I am crate trained and haven't had any accidents in my crate. I am almost fully potty trained but sometimes I forget when I get busy playing. I am still a little pup so I love to chew on everything, and I am full of energy! I'm looking for great a forever home with some people who can be patient while I grow out of my timid nature. If you think I could be your sweet pup, please come meet me! Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spay/neutered within 30 days of adoption. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, we do not permit out of state adoptions of unaltered dogs or puppies. Puppies have special needs and require a home where there will be someone available to care for, socialize, and train them during the day. If your family is away from the home for several hours at a time, please consider adopting a 'teen' or adult dog. Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email safehavendogsIL@yahoo.com for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed. (Less)

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Party on, Avi! This 18 month old Cattle Dog/Akita mix is all party, all the time! Avi came to ACL from a local animal control facility where he had been surrendered when the owners moved. Avi is an active, smart, busy guy who always like to be in the middle of the action. Like many similar breeds, Avi likes to have lots of room to run and lots of fun things to do. He doesn't like being bored! Avi's claim to fame is that he's amazing with other dogs - tolerant, friendly, and a goofball. He will be amazing as a second dog to a playful companion. Avi is not a good fit for homes with cats or kids under 8, but he'll be perfect for an active home ... (Read More)that wants a running buddy and a dog who will enjoy training as much as they will! Avi is a great option for further training classes like agility or flyball - it would be so fun to see Avi flying through the air! Come meet him today! (Less)

Hi! I'm Gus! I'm about a year old and they tell me that I'm a Red Heeler mix whatever that is! I have such a great time running around the yard and chasing my foster siblings around! I would love to have a fenced in yard so I can run and play all the time! If you add a ball to that fenced yard, it would be heaven! Guess what??? I'm even housebroken and know how to sit and my foster mom gives me a B- on 'stay' and 'down'. Seriously, how much fun is 'staying down'?! She's convinced I just want to see her get all silly when I actually do 'stay down'. I like knowing where everyone is all the time. I check in on my family if they are in ... (Read More)different rooms. My mom says I should just lay on my pillow, but I have FOMO - fear of missing out - and I may lose out on play time if I don't know what's going on. I guess it's the herding nature in me! I will make an excellent family dog and I can't wait to show you just how loyal I can be! Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee).
