Rescue Me ID: 18-04-21-00088Zarah (female)
I adopted Zarah in April 2017 from Lawerence KS animal shelter as a young adult pup. She was very timid in the beginning and soon grew very affectionate and trusting. I believe she is just shy of 2 years old. She's very playful and eager to please. I live in a residential neighborhood and she is not suited for confined spaces. She gets along very well with other dogs and cats children and adults. Habits that are causing havoc are: backyard barking, digging, worn path and trails in the yard, jumping on people, chewing the deck , And peeing and pooping in the house randomly even though she is given many opportunities to potty outside. She is kennel trained and is quiet in the kennel but I really have to put her in there as I work part time. I love her so much and she loves to cuddle and snuggle. She has A wonderful disposition and playfully talks/howls to me her opinions. She is a beautiful girl and I hope to find her a wonderful, loving home where she can run wild and perhaps be trained to work. Even though she is high energy she sleeps well through the night especially in my bed! (Less)

Animal ID: 18-2297Mulan (female)
4-11-18 - MULAN - Mulan and herlitter mates came from a hording situation and they are a mixture of Aussie, Heeler and Shepherd mixes. We were very happy to get them out of that situation so that they may have a normal loving home. They have started potty training. They do well in a crate and they are very social and playful. They are 3 1/2 months old. She is spayed, micro chipped and current on her vaccinations. For an application please email Danita Schimmelpfenig/FUREVER FRIENDS at email@example.com ADOPTION FEE: 200.00 Adoption Fee will reimburse costs incurred by the foster caregiver for vaccines administered, deworming medications, flea/tick treatment, heartworm test, and spay/neuter surgery if the dog is not already. NOTE: All applications are processed in the order received, but an adoption is made to the best application received for each of our animals. All applicants must provide a veterinary reference on the adoption application. Home visits often occur prior to each adoption. Understand that the adoption fee is not for the purchase of a dog, but rather to cover the medical cost of all dogs in our care. (Less)

Cowgirl is a young sweet heeler mix. We have known her to be very good with everyone. She does exhibit typical heeler behavior in regard to herding and being a busy lady.

Rescue Me ID: 18-03-22-00385Buddy (male)
My name is Buddy and I'm a rather cute border collie mix dog. I spent a long time at a rural dog pound where I became fearful and wary of strangers approaching me. That was no good for a loveable pooch like me. But there's good news!! The Pet Connection took me into their program and I've been doing just great. I love playing with my ball and can even play fetch. I know lots of basic commands and I do GREAT with other dogs. Now it's time for me to find my forever home. If you want to learn more about me, just call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387.

Rescue Me ID: 18-02-28-00433Axel (male)
Axel is a sweet boy, a bit shy at first, but with some gentle coaxing this little guy will regain his confidence and become someone's bestie forever! He's a heeler\terrier mix and only about 8 months old. He weighs 29 lbs so he's going to be a small dog. But the best things always do seem to come in small packages. Adoption fee $ 150, and he has been neutered, given current vaccinations, and is microchipped. Come visit this sweetie. He's ready for his fur-ever home and sharing lots of love !
