Annie has been a great dog for our family, and we love her so much! She has been the best friend of our toddler, and it breaks our hearts to let her go. Lately, she has become stressed/anxious when being chased by our toddler, and while we hate to see her go, we have another baby on the way and cannot guarantee that we can protect her from all the tail pulling/ear tugging/etc. that makes her so nervous. She's such a sweet dog, we don't want to put her in a situation where she feels defensive. Due to a previous experience with an aggressive large dog next door, Annie is nervous around other big dogs. She has lived her whole life with an ... (Read More)indoor cat, and has never had an issue. (Less)

Hi, My name is Ayvah! Ayvah is amazing! This adorable 3 year old mixed breed is super smart and very loving. She is a nice mix of Heeler (Australian Cattle Dog), Golden Retriever and Siberian Husky. Ayvah is only 3 years old, very healthy and has been spayed. She will be rehomed with some supplies. She is looking for a rural/country home in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, or in the vicinity of New Orleans LA. Blue Heeler Siberian Husky Lab Mix For Adoption Dallas Texas 9 I love my toys! Blue Heeler Siberian Husky Lab Mix For Adoption Dallas Texas 7 I get along very well with my doggie friends! Ayvah is very much loved by her owner, who has ... (Read More)had her since she was an adorable puppy. Ayvah is exceptionally well trained and knows lots of tricks and commands. She is very obedient. She gets along fine with other dogs, as long as she is properly introduced to them. Blue Heeler Siberian Husky Lab Mix For Adoption Dallas Texas 7 Look! I'm a balloon animal! Blue Heeler Siberian Husky Lab Mix For Adoption Dallas Texas 6 Such a good-natured dog. Ayvah's owner is a student who is heartbroken to have to make the difficult decision to find her a new home. With a very busy schedule and limited resources, she simply cannot provide Ayvah with the time, attention and exercise she needs and deserves. Like many Australian Cattle Dogs, Ayvah can be nervous at times - much more so when she doesn't get the activity and mental stimulation she needs. In her small world, Ayvah feels very protective of her owner and can be nervous of strangers. She can nip when her nerves get the better of her - not in an aggressive way, but rather a way of letting you know she is not quite sure about you yet. With her owner and people she is familiar with, she is an absolute sweetheart. The most well-behaved, obedient dog ever. Blue Heeler Siberian Husky Lab Mix For Adoption Dallas Texas 5 Can you believe we put up with this?? Blue Heeler Siberian Husky Lab Mix For Adoption Dallas Texas 4 I love my human! The best situation for Ayvah would be to live with a dog owner experienced with Heelers, and who can provide her with the active, working lifestyle she needs. A farm, ranch or acreage with livestock would be PERFECT for her. She would love to follow her special someone around doing chores and enjoying country life. Getting lots of exercise and mental stimulation is sure to help with her anxiety and nipping issues. Ayvah loves her creature comforts, so would not be suited as an 'outdoor dog'. She would love to be a cowgirl's companion with a job to do during the day - and a great snuggle buddy at night. She is used to cuddling and loves nothing more than to sleep at her owners feet. Blue Heeler Siberian Husky Lab Mix For Adoption Dallas Texas 4 Having a sensible chat with my dog friend. Blue Heeler Siberian Husky Lab Mix For Adoption Dallas Texas 4 Sleeping at your feet makes me happy. Ayvah is not a good match for families with young children, but would be an exceptional pet/working dog for those with a farm, acreage or ranch. She needs an owner who understands her, and who will be diligent about taking great care when she meets strangers. Please offer this very smart and talented little dog a home and a job today. She can't wait to amaze you with her abilities and charm you with her very sweet personality. APPLY TO ADOPT AYVAH HERE! http://findmypetahome.com/ayvah/ There is a $75 adoption/rehoming fee. Some supplies will be included. Please call Debbie toll free at (888) 720-3322 for more information about Ayvah. I will be happy to speak with you. Australian Cattle Dog
lnteresting Australian Cattle Dog Trivia Low-Cost Louisiana Spay & Neuter Clinics
Australian Cattle Dogs were bred by 19th century Australian pioneers to herd cattle on large ranches. Most Australian Cattle Dogs have a star-shaped marking on their foreheads called the Bentley Mark, after dog owner Thomas Bentley, whose purebred dog supposedly passed this mark on to all genuine Australian Cattle Dogs. The Australian Cattle Dog nips at a cow's heels to keep it in line with the herd, and may apply this technique to its humans from time to time as well. Australian Cattle Dogs are descended from several different breeds, including Dalmatians and Smithfield Collies, which are now thought to be extinct.
