Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Abused/Neglected

I am looking for a home for my 3 year old mutt, Chelsea. I inherited her through a friend who is no longer with us, and love her so much that I couldn't imagine giving her up. I have been putting off many of my life plans for this dog but have recently accepted a job abroad for a long period of time. Chelsea has had a very rough life and as a result is a very needy girl. She is very high energy and needs a lot of space to move around. She is often agressive towards new dogs so she hasnt had much socializing and is very nervous of new people, especially men. However, when she gets to know you, she is an absolute sweetheart. She just went to ... (Read More)the vet last month so is good on vaccinations for a year or so. Leash, toys, food, bowls, etc. Everything she needs will be included. Once again, she needs a lot of space, and someone with a fenced in backyard or lots of free time to walk her would be amazing, or even better would be someone who lives in a rural area with lots of land for her to explore. I don't think I can consider giving her to someone living in an apartment or really urban environment. I would love to meet with you before hand so I can tell you more about this special lady, and maybe get you a chance to meet her. (Less)

Hi, my name is Patrick. I was found wandering the streets of the city. That's no place for a dog; even I know that. But, sometimes life throws you a curb ball. I was found in great shape so the volunteers thought surely someone would come to claim me. But, they didn't. Oh well, I just see it as an opportunity for a new adventure. Are you ready for a new adventure? Hurry up and snatch me up before someone beats you to it!

If you are needing a cattle dog or want a great farm dog, Bella is your girl. She can run for days, has the Heeler instinct and loves people and other dogs. She is only a year old and is always happy and ready to go. She knows a few tricks and loves to learn. We live in town and she is really not the city kind of gal. She really needs a place to run around and have other dogs to play with in an open space. With a little routine and a place to get some exercise, Bella will become a wonderful pet. You just can't take the country out of this girl and she belongs where she would be happiest!

lnteresting Australian Cattle Dog Trivia Low-Cost Missouri Spay & Neuter Clinics
Australian Cattle Dogs were bred by 19th century Australian pioneers to herd cattle on large ranches. Most Australian Cattle Dogs have a star-shaped marking on their foreheads called the Bentley Mark, after dog owner Thomas Bentley, whose purebred dog supposedly passed this mark on to all genuine Australian Cattle Dogs. Australian Cattle Dogs are excellent at catching frisbees. The Australian Cattle Dog nips at a cow's heels to keep it in line with the herd, and may apply this technique to its humans from time to time as well. Australian Cattle Dogs are descended from several different breeds, including Dalmatians and Smithfield Collies, which are now thought to be extinct.
