This boy came to TRACS from a local owner who died and left him and his sister Shiloh behind. He lived in the house for a bit of time before it was known that the owner passed. He was turned in as a red healer mix by an acquaintenance of the man who died, and Rocky does look very much like one in spite of his heavy body. He does need to be on low calorie food for awhile and needs greater exercise than he has been getting. He is very friendly and loving. He has lived with cats, dogs, chickens and parakeets and does great! This guy is friendly and a little shy at first but warms up very nicely. He is neutered and vaccinated and now ...     This beautiful boy is a border collie likely with some heeler in him. He is a very playful and very well behaved young guy who will make someone a great new companion. He is about 1.5 to 2 years we think and is full grown at 39 pounds. What a nice boy. He does do well with most other dogs but has recently met a couple that he did not like. WE believe he may do better with female dogs, but currently lives with and plays with Monte who is a boy. He might just be selective in who he does like. He is neutered and ready for a new home. He is microchipped and fully vaccinated and has been tested and is negative for heartworm and etc. ... (Read More)$150 adoption fee (Less)

lnteresting Australian Cattle Dog Trivia Low-Cost Montana Spay & Neuter Clinics
Australian Cattle Dogs were bred by 19th century Australian pioneers to herd cattle on large ranches. Most Australian Cattle Dogs have a star-shaped marking on their foreheads called the Bentley Mark, after dog owner Thomas Bentley, whose purebred dog supposedly passed this mark on to all genuine Australian Cattle Dogs. Australian Cattle Dogs are descended from several different breeds, including Dalmatians and Smithfield Collies, which are now thought to be extinct.
