Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet Poker a 1 yr. old possibly younger pup rescued from the reservation. Poker is on the small side most likely a mix of Border Collie and Australian Cattle Dog. Now when looking at that Poker face it's hard to tell what's inside. Is he serious or full of fun? Watch his video and see what's truly behind that Poker face not to mention those baby blues that have a striking color to good ole Frank Sinatra! Poker is somewhat of a Joker as he likes to play with his favorite pals! He's good with people and strangers. When it comes to kids we suggest kids 12 on up due to his jumping up. He's a moderate energy dog and loves to play with his toys! ... (Read More)In the play arena he is good with some dogs and not others. He has not been tested with cats yet. Poker would love to go to a home where there is lots of adventure like daily walks, play and running. If your looking for a sure fire bet than put your money on Poker, he's a winning hand! (Less)

Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Young Adult

Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Toki is a 6 yr. old Heeler/Aussie X who's had a streak of bad luck lately. He was given away on Craig's List and he nipped a kid and the original owner would not take him back. Toki is full of energy and he is considered a high energy dog minus the few extra pounds he carries. He is a true Heeler at heart as he is into the chasing and retrieving game in fact he LOVES to play frisbee! I have to say I haven't seen a guy this fun for quit awhile and he will play and play until you give up. He's got some get up and go for a chubby guy! Toki does grab for his toys so teens 15 on up suggested due to his wanting to get to his toys. We haven't ... (Read More)noticed any intentionally nipping at people's hands just wants to play. Toki is a smart boy and he knows his commands and is very eager to learn. He even comes with a friendly handshake to show you all of his outgoing ways. When it comes to dogs and cats Toki is not interested in sharing the spotlight so a solo home Toki is a thumbs up! Toki would thrive in home were he can exercise his mind and body. He loves to play, run and we're guessing herd the cattle! This little country bumpkin is just waiting for his lucky break to move out to the sticks and show you what he's made of! Come meet our too fun Toki the boy with some frisbee talent! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-05-20-00310Lilly (female)

Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

We were given a 7 month old lab/heeler/rott mix about a month and a half ago. She had been abused and was scared and unsure when I picked her up from the people who saved her from her abuser. She has fully opened up now with my boyfriend and I. She Loves to play with our two dogs (a 3 year old male American bulldog and a 1.5 yr. old female German shepherd). She is still a little unsure about strangers but she now stays in the same room as them instead of running away to a different room. We just have the people completely ignore her and wait to pet her until she comes to them. She is very calm for a 6 month old puppy and has not chewed ... (Read More)anything she isn't suppose to but we have provided her with plenty of nylabones and she LOVES her Kong. She is excellent on leash with just her collar and doesn't pull at all. She seems to do well off leash too. She rides excellent in the car and sleeps while we run errands. I work at a doggy daycare and all 3 dogs come with while I work. Lilly does awesome there! A calm 10 year old boy did come up to her asking if he could pet her and she actually went right up to him. So I think she would do ok with calmer older children. We have taken her into merdochs with us a couple times and she is slowly starting to open up in bigger crowds and places. She is fully crate trained and can make it 6-7 hours without an accident. She is spayed, up to date on shots, and is microchipped. I take all 3 dogs bike riding and she acts as if she's done it forever. She is 61 lbs and shouldn't get any bigger than that. If you are interested in adopting her, email Brooke at brooke@buddysangels.com for an adoption application. There is an adoption fee as well for her. Located in Butte, MT (Less)

Animal ID: 13-3919Summer (female)

Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Spayed, Needs Vaccinations

Summer is a delightful dog full of energy and enthusiasm. She is an expert escape artist, so whomever adopts her will have to have a very close bond with her so that she does not want to roam. She would be better in a family without cats or small dogs because she has a very high prey drive. She has also been known to chase deer on occasion. If you have the leadership skills and the know how to help Summer stay home and not chase inappropriate animals, Summer may be the girl for you.

lnteresting Australian Cattle Dog Trivia Low-Cost Montana Spay & Neuter Clinics
Australian Cattle Dogs were bred by 19th century Australian pioneers to herd cattle on large ranches. Most Australian Cattle Dogs have a star-shaped marking on their foreheads called the Bentley Mark, after dog owner Thomas Bentley, whose purebred dog supposedly passed this mark on to all genuine Australian Cattle Dogs. The Australian Cattle Dog nips at a cow's heels to keep it in line with the herd, and may apply this technique to its humans from time to time as well.
