Bella Blu is a purebred blue heeler. Date of birth-Aug 21, 2012. She's a beautiful dog with lots of energy. She needs someone who can give her exercise and playtime. She loves playing fetch, brings ball right to your feet, will continue until she drops from exhaustion. She is crate trained and sleeps in a crate unless she's sleeping in your bed. Bella is in crate when I leave the house because she will get into mischief. She's likes to bark a lot and wants to be number one. She likes my other dog but always wants to be # 1. She likes car rides and is good going long distances. Right now I can't give her all the exercise and playtime ... (Read More)she needs. Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Needs Vaccinations, Abused/Neglected

She is a very sweet and submissive dog, a little territorial sometimes though. She is fully house trained and I have had her for 2 years now and I rescued her from adopt a pet. She was due for her yearly checkup this month but I figured the new owners would take her to a vet anyways! I don't have a yard big enough to give her the excersize she needs and I'm having to work a lot lately so I need to find her a good home preferably one with a farm with animals since she does tend to herd people. I have 2 teenage girls that have been around her and she does really good on a leash too! I've taken her walking all over and she has gotten along ... (Read More)with everyone and most other dogs too! It's mostly when she sees another dog around our house that she gets territorial. Any other questions you might have please feel free to contact me! Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Gracie was found left for dead in the Olivehill dumpsters. We had someone get her out, in the pouring rain, to save her life. She was extremely skinny and covered in fleas and ticks. She weighed in at 20 pounds. She is very gentle and loving. She walks well on a leash, gets along with other dogs, doesn't mind cats, and loves to give kisses. She does have one small fault z she has a small food aggression with other dogs. She is fine with people, but doesn't like to share her food bowl with other dogs. She is housebroken and is very well mannered inside. She is UTD on all shots, heart worm negative on prevention, uses Frontline monthly, ... (Read More)and is fully vetted. Gracie is looking for her furever home. She now weighs in at 50 pounds. If you'd like to adopt Gracie fill out s free application at our website.     Bertha is one of our hoarding dogs. She's timid and shy but very sweet. She's lived her life on a chain. We are looking for someone to give her a chance at a real life. These babies where part of a hoarding situation in Wayne County. 19 dogs where surrendered. We can not afford to vet them all yet so they will be vetted prior to adoption. They are all feral but are good dogs. Most are shy and will need some work to learn to trust you. They all deserve a chance at a new life. They all have a reduced adoption fee of $100 each. Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Fearful/Anxious

MJ aka Trixie is a beautiful dog who never had the proper socialization. She needs a gentle, consistent person with the patience of Job. MJ enjoys interacting with people, but she must first know that she can trust. She enjoys playing with other dogs, and she loves treats. MJ probably would not make a good first dog. She should be with someone who understands the needs of an unsocialized dog. She is smart, and we believe she will make a good companion for someone with time, talent, and dedication for transforming MJ into everythng she can be. I am spayed, UTD on my vaccinations. If you would like to adopt me, please apply online ... Animal ID: 15-06-21-00496Hot Mess Houlihan (female)

Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hot Mess Houlihan got her name because she came in a hot mess. She showed up at a nice person's house as a stray and gracious she was a trainwreck. She had a skin infection, super thin, and heartworm positive. We are estimating her to be about 3 years old so we were not surprised at the heartworm positive part just because heartworms are so common around here. Hot Mess is VERY sweet and chilled and we are guessing she is a red heeler beagle mix based on her size and color. She is very kind, sweet, appreciative of any affection because we don't think she got a lot of it in her life, and is good with dogs who don't try and jump her. She is ... (Read More)currently in foster care with Cindy. Hot Mess is spayed and current on her vaccines. Please ask about her today! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 13-07-31-00257Sophia (female)

Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Young Adult

Personality: High Energy
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

SOPHIA is a beautiful three year old female Blue Heeler mix. Her foster says that Sophia is a very silly girl that loves to run and play. She also loves hugs and loves children. There are children aged 8 and above at her foster home. She is up to date on all vaccinations, HW negative, microchipped and spayed. Sophia weighs 56 pounds. She was an owner surrender in Trenton, TN. Sophia is energetic and needs someone who will exercise her daily. She needs to be able to run and play. She is strong and can pull when on a leash but this should improve with training. Sophia is a little overbearing when around smaller dogs so, if she was to have ... (Read More)a canine sibling, they would need to be strong and playful and closer in size to Sophia. Sophia is great with older kids but she may unintentionally knock over a toddler when playing. She is not house trained but will crate when told to do so. Sophia is extremely intelligent and learns fast. She just needs someone willing to put some training time in with her. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Sophia if it means she will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will help our 501(c)3 non-profit rescue to cover part of the cost of her veterinary care she has received. (Less)
