Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

I adopted Beau in 2011 at a Pet Smart Adoption Event in CO. He came from the TX Red River Humane Society. I can no longer afford to support the needs of two dogs. I adopted both him & his sister (litter mates). His birthday is Dec 27 2010. He completed Pet Smart Puppy Training, is microchipped, fixed & is up to date on all shots. He is crate trained, housebroken, loving, loyal & very protective over his family. He's a big cuddlier! He will need a strong pack leader & a well-placed schedule in order. I will need to meet you before making a decision & I will want to see his new environment. I will want references including vet if you currently ... (Read More)have one. I hope you understand. I want the best for him. There needs to be a trial period of 3 weeks before I can fully give him over. I believe that the first couple days will be hard for them both but will be able to adjust within a 2 week period. He has been with his sister for 5 years & if either struggles too much apart, I will take him back. I would also love for them to still have play dates. He will do great with other dogs & children but please no cats. Please see pictures. He has one blue/brown eye & brown eye. His best feature, he always gets compliments on his eyes :O) He weighs 50 pounds. He does love food so I have had to keep him on a diet. He does have seasonal allergies & may need allergy medicine during certain times of the year. He will also need shampoo that is for sensitive skin. He will come with an easy walk harness. He loves bunnies & squirrels which they can distract us on our walk. This harness does wonders! He will also come with all paperwork, collars, toys & Halloween costumes. He is due for a new seresto flea & tick collar as well. I have a very large crate I could give as well for a fee. I will need a re-homing fee which we will negotiate. Also at anytime you can no longer care for Beau, I will want to be considered before a shelter or a foster. I want a forever family for him but if at any time you cannot provide that for him, I will want him to be with his sister & I over some shelter or a foster. Thank you! (Less)

Hot Mess is VERY sweet and chilled and we are guessing she is a red heeler beagle mix based on her size and color.     Australian Cattle Dogs were bred by 19th century Australian pioneers to herd cattle on large ranches. Australian Cattle Dogs are excellent at catching frisbees.
