Rescue Me ID: 17-06-17-00052Allie (female)

Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Allie is a border collie/heeler mix (or maybe some pointer hard to say) who is ready for a family to call her own. She can be a bit shy at first until she gets to know you, but warms up quickly. She is almost 4 months old, 15 lbs, up to date on her shots, micro chipped and spayed. We expect she will be medium/large sized when full grown. Allie would love another dog companion to spend her days with. This girl will need lots of space (acreage or large fenced in yard) to run and play in, she loves being outside and just playing chase with the other pups. A family with an active lifestyle would be best to keep this girl from getting ... (Read More)bored. Allie is doing very well with her potty training, but it is still a work in progress which will need to be continued in her new home while providing her with lots of love and support. Allie is currently located in Cookeville, Tennessee and the adoption fee is $250. Transportation may be available to out of state adopters for an additional cost. If you would like to adopt Allie please fill out our online adoption application at http://safehaventn.com/. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-05-29-00257Koda (female)

Australian Cattle Dog    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Koda is an AKC Blue Heeler who loves to be loved on. She likes to play ball and frisbee. She is a very quick learner and seems eager to please when being taught. She is obedient, crate trained and house broken and has continuously been on heart worm preventative. She is great with people (my kids are teenagers - she has not been exposed to small children). She loves her chew toys. Koda is NOT one you take to the dog park or play with around other dogs. She is VERY jealous of other dogs. She wants to be an only dog and be with you in the house or in a 'fenced' yard. She is very loving and playful and is great for someone who wants a dog as a ... (Read More)member of the family. She has never shown any aggression whatsoever toward people. It deeply saddens me to rehome her but she has a problem with one of my other dogs. Rehoming fee of $200 to ensure she has an invested great home (paid $650). (Less)

Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

OSCAR is anything but a grouch! In fact, his foster says he is 'perfect'! Through no fault of his own, this sweet 11 year old Heeler/Pointer mix male finds himself in need of a new home. The family who had him since his birth had to move and were unable to take Oscar with them so they asked for the rescue's help in finding him a new home. He has always been an inside dog and needs to remain an inside dog. He is house trained, neutered and fully vetted. He will be microchipped prior to adoption. He weighs 38 pounds . If you are interested in adopting a sweeter than sweet senior, please consider Oscar! If you live in another state, don't ... (Read More)let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Oscar if it means he will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will help our 501(c)3 non-profit, all-volunteer rescue to cover at least part of the cost of the veterinary care this dog has received. (Less)

Australian Cattle Dog    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hello! Have you ever met a dog that loves hugs? Well, I do! My name is Parker and I am a handsome Blue Heeler. I am about 2 years old (as of 5-1-17) and weigh approximately 41 pounds. I am currently in a foster home and seem to be house trained and very well mannered. I do great with all humans, but I do have herding in my blood, so I may nip at heels and small children may not be the best for me. I get along with other dogs. I can sometimes have 'barrier tension' so I act foolish when a person or a dog comes up to the fence. But once you are in my presence, you're my best friend. I am just a great guy! I like to chase cats though, so I ... (Read More)should not be in a home or around any felines please. My adoption fee is $185.00. I am neutered, up to date on vaccines, kept on heartworm preventative and microchipped. *PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT RURALANIMALRESCUEEFFORT.ORG **An application and home visit are required prior to adoption. All of our pets are or will be spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines and micro-chipped prior to adoption. Please complete the application on our website and we will call you to answer any questions you may have. Our ability to perform out of state adoptions is limited and reviewed on a case by case basis. If you are not in TN, please ask us about the potential of adopting the specific animal you are interested in. Our adoption fees not only help the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heart-worm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need to be made available for adoption. Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hello there! My name is Aurora, Rory for short. I am Beagle mix who is absolutely precious. (I overheard humans saying that about me so I thought I would pass it on to you.). My birthday is approx. 11-1-16 so I'm still just a puppy. I am doing well with my crate training, but I'm still a puppy, so I'm not all the way house trained yet. BUT, I am super smart, so I'll get there quickly with a little training and patience! I'm learning so many cool things in my foster home! I am a sweet and friendly girl and full of fun. Actually, I'm the most friendly and loving puppy that you'll ever meet! I can't wait to find my forever home. I promise ... (Read More)to give my new family all the love that is in my heart. I know YOU'RE out there, I just need some help finding them. So if you see anyone looking for a girl like me, please let them know I'm waiting right here for them. If they will contact RARE today, they can find out how to make me part of their family. My adoption fee is $185.00. I am spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, kept on heartworm preventative and microchipped. An application and home visit are required. A RARE representative (normally the President and/or foster parent(s) will bring the animal of interest to the home in order to ensure the right fit, perform meet & greet and answer any questions, go over vaccination and other vet paperwork etc.. An adoption trial may commence at that time, if RARE and potential adopter(s) are in agreement. Please complete the application on our website www.RuralAnimalRescueEffort.org and we will call you to explain the adoption process in more detail and answer any questions you may have. *If you are not in the middle Tennessee area, transport can potentially be arranged to approved homes, depending on distance. We normally do not allow adoptions outside of 4 hours driving distance due to limited resources and difficulty ensuring the right match, especially if there are already animals in the home. **All of our pets are, or will be, spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines and micro-chipped prior to adoption. Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Cats

SOPHIA is a beautiful 4 year old female Blue Heeler mix. Her foster says that Sophia is a very silly girl that loves to run and play. She also loves hugs and loves children. There are children aged 8 and above at her foster home. She is up to date on all vaccinations, HW negative, microchipped and spayed. Sophia weighs 53 pounds. She was an owner surrender in Trenton, TN. Sophia is energetic and needs someone who will exercise her daily. She needs to be able to run and play. She is strong and can pull when on a leash but this should improve with training. Sophia is a little overbearing when around smaller dogs so, if she was to have a ... (Read More)canine sibling, they would need to be strong and playful and closer in size to Sophia. Sophia is great with older kids but she may unintentionally knock over a toddler when playing. She is not house trained but will crate when told to do so. Sophia is extremely intelligent and learns fast. She just needs someone willing to put some training time in with her.     Samantha is a precious little medium sized Australian Cattle Dog mix. She is 25 pounds. She is about 8 years old. She was pulled from a local animal control.
