Rescue Me ID: 16-08-18-00346Sterling (male)

Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Fearful/Anxious

Smart farm dog or companion. Sadly we have decided it would be best to rehome our male red heeler, Sterling (Archer) who lives up to his name. Please be sure to read thoroughly. We rescued him when he was only about 6 months, he had parvo, kennel cough, hook worm, you name it. He's now approximately a year old, healthy, neutered, UTD on shots, gets monthly trifexis (heart worm preventive), and a seresto collar good till November. There's 60 days left of his anxiety meds and refills are cheap ($3 for 30 capsules). He's great with cats and other dogs, chickens, great with kids (although he gets excited and jumps). He doesn't run away, he's ... (Read More)good on a leash and has been trained to walk on a short lead and free lead. He knows sit, down, stay, wait, leave it, roll over, come, go to bed. He's crate trained but only for bed or when he's naughty. He has bad separation anxiety and has been labeled 'special needs' by the vet due to his anxiety. He is very destructive when left alone even for quick trip to the store. We were told this behavior is due to him being at a shelter during his imprinting stage and he may or may not grow out of it. We've spent thousands on vet bills, training, medications, and toys and have tried every bit of advice. He needs a home where he is not left alone. He's extremely smart and easily trained so he would make a very happy farm dog. We have chickens and cats and another dog and he is very kind to them (ignores the chickens unless we tell him to round them up). (Less)

BAXTER is a handsome, young mixed breed male who was found as a stray in Troy in NW TN. He is over 1 year of age and weighs 60 to 65 pounds. His foster says that he is super sweet and loves kids. He has been observed with children 8 years of age and older, but we expect he would also do well with younger children.     Meet sweet Seth. Seth has a sad story but it hasn't affected his personality at all. We received a call about an abuse case. Seth's owner left him chained outside. On top of that instead of putting a collar on him he wrapped the chain around his neck. When the officer removed Seth the chain had grown into his neck. The vet said Seth was a great patient. Never offered to bite even tho he was in pain. Seth appreciates life and loves people. He doesn't have to have other dogs but is fine with them. We haven't really had him around cats yet. Seth is the type of dog who is most comfortable around people. He's great in the house and will follow ... (Read More)you everywhere. He'd make a great running partner.     Please help, I'm running out of time!!! This is kori an approx 2year old lab/blue healer mix and due to circumstances beyond my 11 year olds control we have to find him a new forever home with someone good with rehabilitation and no small children, no cats. He is very anxious and we believe came from an abusive past. We rescued him about 2 years ago. We were told he was a stray. He is fully vaccinated and neutered. We can't turn him into animal control they will put him down and that would make her already broken heart worse. He comes with a kennel, blanket and toys.

Meet Gunner! He sure is a handsome, isn't he?? Gunner is an energetic heeler mix about 2 years old and is super smart. Gunner thrives on being praised, to him the words 'good boy Gunner' are worth more than a box of dog treats. He has already mastered house training and crate training and always eager to learn new things. Gunner is also great with other dogs..cats not so much, he finds too much joy in chasing them.     She is a very sweet and submissive dog, a little territorial sometimes though. She is fully house trained and I have had her for 2 years now and I rescued her from adopt a pet. She was due for her yearly checkup this month but I figured the new owners would take her to a vet anyways! Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hot Mess Houlihan got her name because she came in a hot mess. She showed up at a nice person's house as a stray and gracious she was a trainwreck. She had a skin infection, super thin, and heartworm positive. We are estimating her to be about 3 years old so we were not surprised at the heartworm positive part just because heartworms are so common around here. Hot Mess is VERY sweet and chilled and we are guessing she is a red heeler beagle mix based on her size and color. She is very kind, sweet, appreciative of any affection because we don't think she got a lot of it in her life, and is good with dogs who don't try and jump her. She is ... Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Young Adult

Personality: High Energy
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

SOPHIA is a beautiful three year old female Blue Heeler mix. Her foster says that Sophia is a very silly girl that loves to run and play. She also loves hugs and loves children. There are children aged 8 and above at her foster home. She is up to date on all vaccinations, HW negative, microchipped and spayed. Sophia weighs 56 pounds. She was an owner surrender in Trenton, TN. Sophia is energetic and needs someone who will exercise her daily. She needs to be able to run and play. She is strong and can pull when on a leash but this should improve with training. Sophia is a little overbearing when around smaller dogs so, if she was to have ...
